Groups with a positive dynamic are more likely to have a trust and loyalty as its foundation, groups with negative s will be vice versa.

SURVEY RESULTS Our first task, was to research about the event activities that would be most suitable for our event, the following options were the most successful: Christmas party (Theme) Include activities (Content) Family members ( Who should attend?) Party will be an external venue (Location) Funded by family members and charities (Funded) Security (Health and Safety for Service User)
8
Planning of the event For definite it was known that the party was in the theme of Christmas, due to survey results and Christmas being the closest event promoting family relations (as we want guest to be residents’ families). Plus, being a universal event which would not be prejudiced, for it an event that comes in many variants (i.e Kwanzaa or celebrated by seculars) Aiming to create an event, that would be for the elderly, we had to take several points into consideration through use of the survey results. Expanding on them we managed to come up with the following:
9
Engaging Elders in Activities Physical- It is important to be involved in physical activities because even if they are still in a care home, an elderly person will need some sort of physical exercise. This will also help their muscles and keep them healthy. Emotional- An emotional benefit for an elderly person to engage in activities could be that it improves their self esteem and helps build their confidence and also help to express their feelings. Social needs- The social needs which an activity could benefit for a person is a chance to engage with other residents, and make friends this will help them to discuss their thoughts rather than being alone in their room and feeling isolated.
10
Cooking Allows for existing knowledge of cooking to be put to use, and new skills to be learnt alongside, for service users at the care home residence. We chose cooking as it will allow for residents to be engaged with it, acting on pre-existing skills, learning or even expansion. This activity will allow the care home residence to be creative and to explore their inability to do new things.
11
Exercise A great way to ensure that residents keep healthy, and continue love for sport, or even learning new sports. Movement, exercise and other team activities can be used to benefit individuals to develop their physical skills and encourage their health capabilities. Some of the elderly residents may suffer from different disabilities such as Alzheimer's which will cause them to have difficulties when walking so engaging them in activates which involve movement is very important as this will help them to walk and make there muscles stronger.
12
Light Exercise and Dancing The benefits in engaging elderly residence in an exercise session will be a good way to reduce there risk of illness, such as stress, heart disease. This activity is very important as we still want the care home residence to be active and to live a healthy life style. We have placed a exercise session in yoga as we believe this will be a great way for the care home residence to enjoy the activity. Dancing is a great way to exercise because it is a fun way of keeping active.
13
Games Game activates such as puzzles will help stimulate a persons brain. Mental stimulation is very important, as it promotes mental challenges and allows for learning. In face there are several brain benefits associated with the use of challenging puzzles. We have chosen games as an activity as we believe the care home residence will enjoy using puzzles and interacting with others whilst playing different games.

Conclusion This assignment has helped us to expand on our interpersonal abilities concerning Group Dynamics (team work). It also gave us as a group, good experience on how to work on future group works; through learning how to work effectively in a group. Working in a group isn’t easy, as with the fundaments of group dynamics. It isn’t the individual processes that are to be observed, but how they work to together as group. It was the trust, and respect for each other which allowed us to have a positive group dynamics.
