2  He was part Native American Cherokee  Will grew up on a ranch in Oklahoma  He had 7 brothers and sisters  After the 10th grade he dropped out of school  He learned roping skills and tricks along with horseback riding Click here

3  He married Betty Blake and had 4 children  Will wrote 6 books and was a journalist also  He was a major star on Broadway  He traveled around the world 3 times

4  He was a major star on Broadway in the 1920’s and 1930’s.  As a political humorist he knew many presidents, world leaders and congressman.  He raised money for the Red Cross Click here

5 I have always liked people with a good sense of humor. My father was a very funny guy and made me laugh. Will Rogers was like that too. He made people remember to not take themselves too seriously. He believed that, “ A man only learns by two things, one is reading and the other is association with smarter people.” He was a man who I have admired for years.
