The word of God is described in many illustrative ways: As a light As a path As sweeter than honey As a foundation As truth

Psalm 119:105 -- Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

Psalm 119:9-- How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word.

And many peoples will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob ; That He may teach us concerning His ways And that we may walk in His paths." For the law will go forth from Zion And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Hebrews 5:12 -- For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the oracles of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food. The basics are milk

But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil. Constant use is solid food
