4. Key messages from the evidence Realising benefits is dependent on ‘embedding’ Institutional/provider-level change is required to realise full benefits Learners of all ages are enthusiastic about learning using technology Effective investment in technology delivers results.

5. However …. We are not yet fully exploiting the benefits of technology for all learners.

6. Institutional e-maturity* is developing more slowly than general technology adoption and use. *E-maturity – is the capacity and capability of individuals and organisations to exploit the power of technology to improve educational outcomes. Becta, 2007
