Today’s Objective Today, we are going to hear the stories of students from backgrounds like yours who are currently in college. – You will have the opportunity to ask questions after each speaker shares a bit about themselves. Microsoft, 2011

Reminder Remember to be a polite, active listener! – Listen quietly – Look at the speakers when they are talking – Take notes – Ask appropriate questions when the time comes

Panelists’ Stories Take 5 minutes to share the following about yourself: – The college you attend – What major you have chosen or what career you are pursuing – Your path to Postsecondary Personal/Social Challenges you’ve encountered on the path to postsecondary or in college – Personal/Social Opportunities – Best Part of College – Most Difficult Part of College – What you did in high school that helped you prepare for college – What you wish you would have done in high school to prepare

Student Questions Start by asking one question from your card. – Cross of the question if you ask it or someone else asks it
