Brain made of neurons Neurons= brain cells More then 100 billion neurons in the brain A neuron can transmit between 250 and 2,500 impulses per second

Neuron Parts Dendrites: receive messages from other cells (dendrite=tree in latin, like branches) Cell body: contains the nucleus and is main part of the cell

Learning (or memory) Occurs where neurons connect (through dendrites) The more connections you can make with other brain cells, the better you will remember something
