Levice (German Lewenz rather well Lebentz, Levencz ; Hung. Léva ) is a town located in Slovakia, in the Nitra region. Levice is the largest district based in Slovakia and 18th largest city in Slovakia.

In Slovakia, runs an annual competition for the most beautiful city in Slovakia. In 2010, Levice ranked the 9th place in Slovakia. Since 2009 city announces annual competition "Here I am at home, here I spend my holiday", the city is trying to attract tourists and inhabitants by variety of local events in the region.

Major music festivals, World & Ethnic Fest ( each year in late June and July) and Jazz & Blues Fest ( an annual weekend of November 2nd ). Music series called " Blues.LV " ( regular concerts mainly in the field of jazz, blues and related genres )
