We will be doing lots of experiments/labs to solidify the concepts. Problem solving will occur throughout the chapter. Expect homework to be assigned at least three days per week. Quizzes, tests and quarter exams.
14
30% Formative Assessment This includes class-work, home-work and labs. Most units will include all the above. 70% Summative Assessment This includes quizzes, tests and exams. Quizzes or tests will be given at the end of each chapter/unit. Usually two (or three) quarter exams and one semester exam will be given per semester. All the tests and exams will get an AP curve. To earn the curve on the tests, they will be expected to do test corrections. No test corrections for exams, but students still get the curve.

- Part of success in any area is to recognize when you need help. To recognize what you do not know and get help. - I have asked my students to be proactive and try to come in before school, after school and/or during my prep and lunch.
