medium: The way or means by which a message is communicated Verbal communication: The sharing of information between individuals using speech Non verbal: This type of communication includes gestures, facial expressions. The best mode of communication to convey a quick message to employees within a company would be to write a memo. COMMUNICATION BASICS

Email: a message sent electronically from one computer to another. Memo: a formal message intended to inform about a concern, an important issue, or event Agenda: a list of things to be discussed at a meeting Itinerary: a planned route or journey Meeting minutes: Notes taken at a meeting COMMUNICATION MODES

Return address: the address of the writer of a letter. Inside address: The name and address of the receiver of a letter Body: The message of a letter Salutation: The greeting of a letter is called the Block: A style in which all typed lines of a letter begin at the left margin Open punctuation: A style in which no punctuation is placed after the salutation and closing of the letter Date: place after return address; spell out the month PERSONAL BUSINESS LETTER
