2. Fabulous Food Write a story about how to make a: “Triple layer, double chocolate, creamy caramel, jellybean and almond sponge cake.” Yum! What happened in the kitchen?

3. Plants Alive! Write the life story of a plant growing in your garden. How was it planted there? What problems has it faced in order to survive and grow? What does it look like? Does it have any special or exotic features? Illustrate your story.

4. Dinosaurs! You have been given the opportunity to go back in time to when the dinosaurs inhabited the Earth. Your mission is to bring back eggs so scientist can nurture and hatch them for special zoos. Write what happened?

5. Circus Adventure One morning you wake up to discover you are a clown living in a caravan of a travelling circus. Write a story about what your daily life would be like and how you would feel being a clown and travelling all over the country.

6. Disaster! Draw a map of a small imaginary town. Label the roads, major tourist spots, buildings, parks, schools, houses, shops, etc. Use this map to write a story about this town being threatened by a disaster (e.g. flood, bushfire, earthquake, volcanic eruption, etc). Where will the people go? What happens to the town? How do they help save their buildings and homes?
