Health and Wellness Support Plan Proactive plan to identify, support, and empower employees who may be distressed and to provide them with support to help improve their wellbeing.

Roles and Responsibilities Employee Attend work and fulfill the job responsibilities of their position Report their absences Provide medical certificate when required Health & Wellness Officer Provides support and guidance to supervisors and employees through each stage of the program Communicates with employees, supervisors and the union Run weekly absence reports

Steps of The Plan Identify the Health and Wellness concern Meeting with the Employee Follow up with the Employee

If You Are Unable to Work Enter your absence into the system Absence longer than 5 days If Employee is injured at work Recover at work program

BCTF Health and Wellness Program Supports members recovering from illness or injury to regain an optimum state of wellness Provides rehabilitations services and promotes self care

Employee and Family Assistance Program Services for Employees and their families to address issues with their wellbeing Counseling Plan Smart o Life balance o Manage career
