Examples When someone says, “Get ‘Er Done” you think of Larry the Cable guy. When you hear, “I Have a Dream” you think of Martin Luther King Jr. When you hear, “I’ll Be Back” you think of Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Terminator

Here are some other examples of Allusion Christy didn't like to spend money. She was no Scrooge, but she seldom purchased anything except the bare necessities". (Of course, this is an allusion or reference to A Christmas Carol.) "As the cave's roof collapsed, he was swallowed up in the dust like Jonah, and only his frantic scrabbling behind a wall of rock indicated that there was anyone still alive". (Of course, this is an allusion or reference to Jonah in the Bible being swallowed alive)
