We have a duty to seek to redeploy those at risk of redundancy We have an obligation to consult with “appropriate representatives” where significant numbers are affected Ad hoc redundancy committee

Redeployee undertakes a trial period, and if, successful is confirmed in post. Redeployee applies for jobs and if successful is redeployed Redeployee is emailed jobs which match their requirements prior to job being advertised more widely Redeployee invited to register on “redeployment list” via redeployment website School/Department notifies employee they are “at risk” HR send report to School/Department detailing those “at risk”

Redeployees Quick and easy registration Receive email matches to jobs they have expressed interest in as soon as jobs become available. Recruiters A pool of talent ready to start employment No advertising expenses Already inducted into the organisation Closes down “ineligible” applicants - the system will ensure only true redeployees can apply.

Most jobs will be released to redeployment list before being advertised more widely. However have a duty to consider redeployees first over other candidates Be clear in person specification of the essential and desirable selection criteria

Issue AHR1s in timely manner Encourage redeployees to join the redeployment list as the benefits are positive. Keep an open mind about redeployees when recruiting
