Last Week Last week we focused on factoring the square roots of numbers and solving equations with square roots Today, we will be focusing on cube roots. Can any one tell me what a “cube root” is?

Square Roots With square roots we took “pairs out” The opposite of a square root is a number “squared” Example: 2 squared is equal to √4

Cube Roots When factoring with square roots our objective was to find “pairs” to pull out, our objective with cube roots is to pull what out? This is the special symbol that means "cube root", it is the "radical“ symbol (used for square roots) with a little three to mean cube root.
