Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) Service Broker Who is the service for? People on the Autistic Spectrum who do not have a learning disability and do not meet the criteria for support from Warwickshire County Council. How do people know if they can use the service? People will have had a diagnosis from a Doctor or Psychologist that says they are “Autistic”, have “High Functioning Autism” (HFA) or “Aspergers Syndrome”. The service can only work with people who have a diagnosis and people need to be generally 18-65.

What happens if I have a learning disability and autism? People with a learning disability and a diagnosis of autism will be supported by the learning disability team. What support can I get? Help to develop ways to cope with your ASC Support with planning daily activities or routines Help to build networks of friends Help to reduce anxiety Information on other services that could help Support to find or stay in your own home Support to find employment, education or training Support for families

What we will not do … Provide a diagnosis Crisis/Emergency Support Give you money or pay for services Counselling or Therapy Respite Support

How do I get help? Fill in an Application Form or ask someone to do it for you Call the PHILLIS team in Warwick 01926 731142 and they can fill a form in over the phone or give you advice. You can also email them with questions. You CAN self refer … You do not need the support of a doctor, nurse or social worker as long as you have a diagnosis. Any Questions? And Where Next …..
