5. According to the law the offence is; Taking or distributing indecent photographs of a child under eighteen years of age. It is also an offence of possessing indecent photographs of children under 18 years of age.

6. So if you are under the age of 18, and you take a picture of yourself naked, you are breaking the law If you then pass that image onto another person, you are also breaking the law! If they pass that image on, they are also breaking the law! If you keep the photo, you are also breaking the law

7. The sentence: Maximum sentence 10 Years + Sex Offenders Registration

8. However! The Association of Chief Police Officers have clearly stated that young people will be treated as victims and it is only in extreme cases that this will be viewed differently. We are there to help you! And we will always treat you as a victim first!
