Classroom Expectations This year we will be focusing on building important life skills such as working hard and participating. I’ll be using ClassDojo to give students feedback on these skills :)

Why use ClassDojo? ClassDojo is the easiest way to see your child’s progress on these skills. I’ll be sending classroom updates and photos with you through ClassDojo, too!

How else can we work together? Check Class Dojo regularly. Keep me updated on how your child is doing at home. Encourage the life skills we are working on in class outside of school. Celebrate wonderful classroom moments at home :) Let me know how I can be most helpful!

Homework Policy Homework Monday-Friday Students are responsible for taking home their homework packets. Students will ALWAYS have Spelling, Reading, Sight Words and Math homework. Science and Social Studies is occasional. Students must complete homework EVERY night independently. Homework is to be placed back in the red folder and returned to school each day.

Homework Club 1. Turn in your homework on time every day. 2. If absent, homework must be brought to school upon returning along with an excused absence note. 3. Complete homework from “Absent Folder” when students have missed days of school. 4. Stay in the Homework Club all month and earn a “No Homework Pass.” 5. Choose your homework free day and staple the pass to the homework assignment.

Uniforms Complete uniform is to be worn EVERY day Boys- khaki pants, white / hunter green / yellow school shirt, black or brown shoes or sneakers, belt, and shirt tucked in. Girls- khaki pants or khaki skort, white / hunter green/ yellow school shirt, black or brown shoes or sneakers, and shirt tucked in. Sweaters must be solid hunter green. FRIDAYS ONLY: Students are allowed to wear their M.A.E. T-Shirts with jeans (must bring $1).

Volunteers 30 Volunteer Hours per family. 30 Volunteer hours per family, if there is 1 or more siblings in this school. (Hours should be divided equally amongst each child’s teacher.) Field Trips School Functions Materials for Academic Learning. Office Supplies Gift Cards Classroom Supplies Every $1 = 1 Volunteer Hour (accompany receipts whenever possible.)

Birthdays Birthdays can be celebrated during lunch time. Please notify me ahead of time if you are planning a celebration. All visitors must be approved and cleared by the office prior to chaperoning any school event.
