Volume: Aim: How is volume measured?

Volume is: 1. The amount of space an object takes up. 2. Examples: – A rock has volume – A Box has volume – The air has volume

Volume of an object with straight edges…. 3. ….is measured with a metric ruler.

The formula for volume is 4. Volume = Length x width x height Volume = cm x cm x cm Volume = cm 3 5. The units for volume of an object measured with a ruler are cm 3 or mm 3.
