1. 1 By Halie Mietlicki Dad Lost his Ring

2. 2 This story is dedicated to: To my mom and dad and sister toriana.

3. 3 I went to the beach with my mom, dad and my sister Toriana. We went there to have some fun. Building sand castles, swimming, and burying each other under the sand.

4. 4 My dad wanted to swim first, so he went in the water. He came out and my mom asked him what time it was. He looked at his watch and saw his ring was gone!

5. 5 We all tried to look for it. I can swim underwater, so I used my goggles, but my mom said not too far. I saw seaweed, big rocks, small rocks and sand. There were so many places it could be hiding.

6. 6 Then I went to a place where there was a lot of seaweed. I pushed through the seaweed and I saw something shiny. I thought, “What if that is my dad’s ring??”

7. 7 I swam down there to see the shiny thing. I picked it up. I swallowed some water because I was so excited…I found my dad's ring!

8. 8 I swam back to my mom and showed her. My mom took it to my dad. He was like sooo happy that he picked me up and threw me in the sand. Then he buried me!

9. 9 We spent the whole day at the beach. We buried each other. We made a big sand castle that you could go inside. My sister tried to make dolls but she is only four so it was really just a big glob of sand.

10. 10 We ended up having ice cream, too. It turned out to be an amazing day!

11. 11 I’m 7 years old and I live in Newfane. I really like to draw! I like to write about the circus, clowns, cars, and Shake It Up. I like to write because it’s fun and it calms me down! Meet the Author!
