Objectives My plan is to share a variety of Health and Physical Education information, ideas and activities that I have found or created over the years with the hope that you may use or modify some of them to create positive learning experiences for your students.

Specifically Today I would like to teach a progression of parachute- based activities that require cooperation, communication, reinforce physical skills and concepts along with key vocabulary words. All of this will be interspersed with a few musical movement activities.

Critter in the Web Objective: How many times can your group toss and catch a critter using your parachute. You are the spider, the chute is your web and the critter is lunch! Critter Soup Objective: How many critters can your group accumulate by working together to toss the critter in the air and take turns catching it with your hands. Stealing Critters for Soup Objective: To see which group can accumulate the most critters by: o “stealing” critters from other groups o working together to toss the critters in the air o taking turns catching them with your hands. Chicken Coops Objective: Using 6 hoops, each group cooperatively constructs a chicken coop. Upon completion, each group member must crawl through the coop without knocking it down.
