Architecture Native Americans lived in many different living conditions. The mound builders of Eastern America and Pueblo Indians used stone and adobe to make square dwellings. Pueblo Indian construction.

Painting, Pottery, Weaving Painting can be found in ancient rock carvings called petroglyphs found all over the states. Native Americans used the coil method to make pots and then polished them by Burnishing. Most were used as containers for food or for cooking.

Most of the energy of Native Americans went into functional objects. The wood sculptures of the Northwest Coast Indians are different. Totem Poles were carved and depicted supernatural characters and animals. These stood in front of houses to showcase family prestige. Woodworking
