12 12 the ETUC priorities : Paris declaration Fight the crisis- put people first More and better jobs European solidarity as a protection against the excesses of financial capitalism: Stronger workers’ rights and an end to the dominance of the short-termist market principles. Better pay: stronger collective bargaining. Stronger welfare systems

13 13 the ETUC mission ● to promote the European social model and to work for the development of a united Europe of peace and stability where working people and their families can enjoy full human and civil rights and high living standards activities ● to be the social partner representing workers at European level ● to build a social Europe by influencing European lawmaking and policies ● to take trade union actions
