Scope & Sequence A comprehensive ballet-modern training program With Ballet or Modern Emphasis Option FRESHMEN 3 ballet / 2 modern SOPHOMORES 3 ballet/1 modern or 2 ballet/2 modern (Option out of dept on Fridays) JUNIORS 2 ballet/2modern (or variation thereof); 3 ballet/1 modern Plus Junior Composition (Optional out of dept Fridays) SENIORS 2 ballet/2 modern (or variation thereof) Plus Senior Seminar 3 ballet/1 modern (option out of dept Fridays)

CBLA AUDITION NOTICE City Ballet of Los Angeles is auditioning students to join CO.2 CBLA CITY BALLET OF LOS ANGELES has partnered with LACHSA Dance to offer master classes and performance opportunities throughout the year. This partnership supports LACHSA mission that states, The experience will allow students to gain additional training in Ballet, Modern, Contemporary and Pas de Deux classes at CBLA thus strengthening and enhancing their professional capacity. Robyn Gardenhire is the Founder and Artistic Director of CBLA former company member of Joffrey, II Cleveland Ballet, American Ballet Theater and White Oak Project. Ms Gardenhire resides on the Diversity Board of New York City Ballet, she founded CBLA in 2001 and has built a dance institution that reflects the economic and racial diversity of Los Angeles that provides classical training to all. The Company’s home theater is the Wilshire Ebell since 2005. Classes will meet on Friday evenings from 5:00pm-7:00pm at CBLA studios located in downtown Los Angeles. Dance Department Needs New Stereo Systems in Luckman A & BCost: $1,500.00 3 apple mini speakers for dance composition @ $213 each = $639.00 A costume budget for 24 new tutus budget at 850 per tutu = $20,400 Additional costumes from Discount Dance Supplies & Red Shoes for Kylian and contemporary dance & modern dance = $ 8,500 Additional stipends for dance teachers – (currently $279 per teacher via budget) At $500 per teacher X’s 11 = $5,500 Kylian Foundation royalties for 2015-2016 = $900 Guest Choreographer = $ 3,000 X’s 2 choreographers = $6,000 Master Classes = 6 guest teachers X’s $500 per class = $3,000 Nate Holden Performing Arts Center = $16,000 for possible spring concert (funding) Eileen Cooley, Technical Director for Spring Concert = $3,000 GRAND TOTAL FOR 2015-2016 = $ 65,439.00
