1. 1 Proposal for a MIWP item on Communication Issue: Communication requirements exist that need to be addressed collectively in order to make the INSPIRE implementation more successful. This includes A minimal level of coordination of communication activities  A common event calendar that would reflect national, thematic and EU- level events (including events organized by EU-funded projects).  Exploit opportunities for addressing INSPIRE in cross-border and thematic conferences and workshops Improve the (re)usability of INSPIRE-related multi-media content  Sharing and re-use of national material by other countries and the EC-EEA INSPIRE Team (including IP issues)  Translation of material Put forward requirements for the revamping of the EC-EEA websites and information systems

2. 2 Proposal for a MIWP item on Communication Proposed change or action A structured communication around INSPIRE would require a minimal level of coordination of communication activities. Risks The work should be concrete and have a clear focus, otherwise the risk is to have unsatisfactory outcomes. At the same time, it should be embedded in a wider strategy for communication around INSPIRE that gives direction and a frame for action.
