SOIS SOIS was initiated with the goal of improving the commonality in flight Avionics We have come quite some way since then and things have evolved Services instead of protocols Electronic data sheets instead of plug and play Wireless for intra spacecraft and proximity applications We have had support from others interested parties (AFRL, SAVOIR, …..) We have had some success (15 publications and more in the pipe) Most rewarding is that Industry and projects are now evaluating and adopting our standards (at least in Europe!) But there is always more to do……….
