When I was looking for jobs I used to fret and panic about how I could afford to get there, adding up in my head what I could and couldn’t afford. Having a bus pass takes away that worry” (middle-aged female) Over 75% of clients have told their friends andd family about the scheme Over 90% of former clients continue to use public transport as their main mode of daily travel

Sustainable Transport: Securing Jobs | 13 January 2010 The Funding Issue Short-term funding – insecure future “Where a Local Authority want to offer a WorkWise type scheme, the Government (DWP) pledge to partner it and put in 50% of the funding. The remainder of the funding will be matched by local partnerships” (Passenger Transport Executive Group)
