3 Today’s Objectives 1.Learn how to utilize Quizlet as a tool to engage students in their own learning. 2.Create a study set to use in your classroom. 1.Establish the Danielson connection. (#3C) * Bonus Objective *  I will debate the merits of popular 90’s musical phenoms.

4 History of Quizlet?  Andrew Sutherland – Founder/CTO  In 2005, Andrew’s dad was helping him study for a French test by making note cards. Then the 15 year old thought to himself, “I could build a program/platform which would allow me to make these cards much faster!”  Andrew went on to study at MIT and developed software to help students like himself learn how to study.  Today  ¼ of all high school students have used Quizlet  Q has grown from 500 users to over 22 million  Future  Continue to develop Quizlet as an inspiring learning tool based on user feedback and beta testing.  Develop ways to allow for critical thinking in conjunction with Google.

5 What is ?  A FREE website/app to help students learn/study a concept or study vocabulary.  HOW? It allows users to:  CREATE  Create a list for students to study  Have students create their own (distinguished)!  STUDY  Flashcards – review material  Learn – track your answers  Test  Games – Scatter/Space Race
