2. Why at Arnos Vale? The cemetery is depository of social history Strong links to the history of:  Public health and sanitation  Disease and mortality  Medical Pioneers (past and present) The project is designed to draw parallels and contrasts between historic and contemporary biomedical concepts

Objectives of the project To raise awareness of Arnos Vale as a venue that engages with the public and its historic legacy To engage with the public on contemporary science To develop resources and knowledge around the history of medicine and science To work with local schools to raise interest in the biomedical sciences, local history and to raise aspirations.

5. The Project Funded by the Wellcome Trust – People Award Arnos Vale lead in partnership with Bristol University (Medical Humanities) and Ashton Park Secondary School. Project to last 24 months Multidisciplinary collaborative project
