2 History and Background Formed in 2006 as a joint collaboration of San Mateo County Courts, Probation Department, District Attorney Office, Sheriff’s Office, Correctional Mental Health, NAMI and Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Goals  reduce recidivism and incarceration of the seriously mentally ill  stabilize housing  reduce acute care utilization  engage and maintain participation in personal recovery
