3 Assistance to Succession Planning & Programming Research and Development Quality Assurance-Monitoring & Evaluation and Accreditation ( QA-ME-A) Production of Professional Development Materials (PDMs) Competency Assessment Training and Development

4 Activities: Provide professional development activities aimed at enhancing competencies for the improvement of educational outcomes Objective: - Needs –based and demand-driven by the region and divisions System: 1) needs assessment, 2) professional development planning, 3) program designing and resource development, 4) delivery of training, program management w/ monitoring and evaluation of T & D activities. Activities:

5 Appraise the KSA’s of education personnel based on national competency standards set for their profession Objective: Collection of data, analysis, profiling and professional reporting of assessment results Oversees qualifying examination: ensure adherence to standards set by Central Development of assessment tools and other forms of assessment related to professional development and educational leadership Activities:

6 Assist learning resource and materials development centers Objective: Assessment & evaluation Development Indigenization Training & utilization of PDMs Activities:

7 Sees to it that the outputs of the different service areas are achieved based on set standards and specifications Objective: Monitoring Evaluation Accreditation and Certification Activities:

8 Monitoring: gather raw data on program implementation & effectiveness to provide program managers and stakeholders progress report Strategic positioning Organizational learning Sound Management

9 Evaluation: assessing, analyzing and utilizing data obtained from monitoring Strategic positioning Organizational learning Sound Management

10 Accreditation: upgrade quality of training programs, training delivery, trainers & service providers Through: self- assessment & external evaluation Certification: formal process that assures that trainers are competent to deliver a particular program

11 Activities: Address specific needs identified for education development Objective: Create a culture for research Provide direction & opportunities to do research Conducts policy research that will bring about improved quality of educational outcomes & institutional development

12 Activities: Prepare educational leaders in coordination with personnel officer to ensure leadership continuity when a key position is vacated Objective: Nurturing and developing employees from within; training and development of existing staff Activities:
