Foreshadowing A shadow before Hints about what will happen later

A family is packing for a vacation at the beach. Write three or more sentences that provide a little foreshadowing for what might happen.

For example: As Erin was packing to go to the beach, she turned on the TV and heard that a shark warning had been issued in the Gulf of Mexico. “That’s not close to where we’re going,” Erin thought. “We don’t need to worry about sharks.” Now you write your own foreshadowing situation. Don’t use Erin, and don’t use sharks.
