What Everyone Must Do Common Core State Standards Implementation New formative, interim, and PARCC assessments Teacher and principal evaluation systems Data systems

What Participating Districts Must Also Do Building-based Inquiry Teams (NTs and NTEs) Teachers, teacher leaders & administrators Using data to change instruction (classroom and/or school scale) 90 min/week for the building teams (ambiguous)

RTTT Scope of Work Participating districts are required to use up to 75% of RTTT allocation for: A.Purchase services of BOCES RTTT Network Team or Assure Network Team Equivalency B.Expend balance of allocation on menu of approved activities

RTTT Scope of Work Participating districts are required to use 25% of RTTT allocation for: A.Support development and implementation of APPR B.Training evaluators (of teachers and principals) C.Funds available after certification by SED, so some of other 75% probably will be used for this function, too

RTTT Network Teams 1.Each Network Team consists of at least the equivalent of three full-time professionals 2.Roles and responsibilities of each team member based Network Teams essential functions and local context(s) 3.Network Teams participate in SED PD activities on monthly/quarterly basis

RTTT Network Teams 1.Curriculum and Instruction, including implementation of common core (CCSS) and subsequent (presently optional) curriculum models 2.Supporting the development and administration of assessments 3.Data collection, analysis and use 4.Work with building Inquiry Teams to “make the instructional cycle dynamic and student-focused”

What would a Network Team provide? Centralized training and assistance for the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) Awareness, gap-analysis, adjustments ELA Mathematics Literacy for other subjects Potentially science and social studies

What would a Network Team provide? Centralized training and assistance for the CCSS state curriculum Awareness and crosswalk of models Gap analysis and adjustment process Scope and sequence preparation Adoption and implementation assistance

What would a Network Team provide? Centralized training and assistance for new assessments Formative assessments (connected to curriculum) Interim assessment rollout PARCC assessment rollout

What would a Network Team provide? Centralized training and assistance for new evaluation systems (APPR) Teacher evaluator training Principal evaluator training
