STUDENT SUCCESS 7th grade transition made easier by being organized We only have two years to help prepare students for success in high school Use of expandable file folders and planners are helpful Organization is key! Schedule time to meet with teachers

Skyward Family Access Grades are posted throughout each six weeks on the internet. Please visit our district website for links to Skyward Family Access and our school/teacher websites at your convenience for updated information on all things pertaining to your student. www.joshuaisd.org All students access Skyward in Computer Lab

LMS Procedures 4 minute passing periods 9 periods per day Larger backpacks do not fit in lockers and are not allowed in classrooms or halls Drawstring backpacks are allowed Students need to arrive at school with all necessary supplies daily Parent drop-off and pick-up around the back of the school Front is reserved for buses only

Dress Code No flip-flops No holes/frays in jeans No sagging Skirts and dresses must not be shorter than 5” above the knee No gum on campus No leggings/spandex unless skirt is worn over No see-through, lace, or sleeveless tops No earrings, gauges, or spacers…girls only may wear earrings No extreme hair colors or hairstyles No tattoos or writing on body For boys: hair should not touch the back of the collar of their shirt, or fall below the top of their eyebrows Boys need to be clean-shaven CELL PHONES are not allowed. If seen or heard, they will be turned in to the office and may be retrieved after a fee of $15.00 has been paid

Blue Friday Fridays are BLUE FRIDAY spirit days at LMS!!!! Please encourage your student to wear a Joshua shirt to show school pride and support for their campus!!

DISCIPLINE Lunch detention, ISS, suspension, citations, DAEP SRO Officer assigned to LMS – Deputy Tharpe No horse-playing, fighting, look-a-like weapons, illegal substances, foul language, inappropriate actions or words towards others, PDA, gossip, stealing, bullying, sexual harassment, disrespect Students need to maintain self-control including on the buses

Student Group Visits LMS student leaders will visit elementary campuses Thursday for a student-led discussion 6 th Grade Social this Friday, 5:00-6:30p in the Café $5.00 in advance, $10.00 at the door Parents are welcome and may enter at no charge
