Full time bilingual representative for HISD schools PTA.org Provides: by-laws template EIN and 503c status Guidelines and structure that cover all operations and activities Conflict mediation Parent education – training Child advocacy at the state and national level Unaffiliated group Online resources available PTOtoday.com Parents are responsible for the following: Creation of by-laws Request EIN and 503c status (non- profit status) Form structure of organization Determine goals and plans of action (fundraising, financial management, marketing, advocacy, parent training etc.)
