Project Champion Role Project Architect Select Project Team – approx 4-6 members + staff member Set Project Goal & Objectives that are far-reaching, yet achievable, utilizing their professional and personal experience Secure project future Keep the torch lit through political and organizational changes Constant advocate in support of economic vitality effort in public, private, media, others Manage project team Monitor actions to timeline in partnership with County staff designee Proactively communicate with team members on deliverables Liaison between public / private partners, resource providers and funders Appropriately involve stakeholders & community members

Douglas County Staff Role LEADERSHIP: Identify and improve upon policies and procedures to achieve priority project objectives PARTNERSHIP: Develops Public/Private Partnerships FACILITATOR: Works proactively in collaboration with other community and economic development entities to achieve the County’s economic vitality goals COMMUNICATION: Coordinates priority project interactions within County LEVERAGED RESOURCES: Identifies grant funds and seeks opportunities to leverage other resources
