The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, until tribute comes to him; and to him shall be the obedience of the peoples. (Gen. 49:9-10) The Lamb is a reference to the Passover lamb and to Isaiah’s messianic prophecy: He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth. (Isaiah 53:7)

The work of God in creation and in redemption are viewed as a unified whole. The response of all creation to seeing the divine plan unfold is God glorifying worship.
