Objectives/TEKS Language Arts: 110.43.13B Locate appropriate print and non-print information using text and technical resources, including databases and the Internet. Tech Apps: 126.21.4A Use local area networks and wide area networks, including the internet and intranet, in research and resource sharing. Construct appropriate search strategies in the acquisition of information including keyword and Boolean search strategies.

Project requirements: Your report should be between 3 – 5 pages Typewritten Use 12 pt or smaller, Arial or Times New Roman 1-inch margins for all sides

Project requirements (con’t): Your report must include 5 of the following: –Picture –Quote –Famous Experiment –Famous Invention –Awards Won –Information about birth –Information about death –History of time spent in schools and universities –Family information –Books published –Impact on society

Project requirements (con’t): You must include a bibliography of all resources used – MLA format You must use at least 2 different sources.

Keep in mind: If you are getting information from a website look for the print icon. Do not print the entire webpage. This will save ink and paper.

Keep in mind: If there is no print icon, highlight the information you need, right click then copy and paste on to a word document.

Remember: Since your report must include 5 of the following: Picture, quote, famous experiment, famous Invention, awards won, information about birth, information about death, history of time spent in schools and universities, family information, books published or impact on society That means, you need to read the information you find. Make sure you summarize or paraphrase the information. Do not merely copy/paste the information on your report. If you are quoting directly from the website/book, cite it properly.
