1. HELLO EVERYBODY! My name is Velina Evgenieva Pavlova. I am 15 years old. I live in Tryavna, Bulgaria. I went to primary school at “ The Petko Rachev Sleveikov “ school. I knew that there I would feel protected, I would learn many new things and I would make new good friends whom I’d have fun with. This is the reason why I still go to school there, but now I am 8th grade in highschool, studying computer studies. In this class I will improve and develop my skills in the field of computer technologies and English language.

2. MY FAMILY Hello! I’m Velina and this is my family. My mother’s name is Nina. She is 45 years old and she is a dentist. My father Evgeni is 45 years old too. His job is engineer. I have a brother. His name is Krasen. He works in the Military Headquarters in Varna.

3. MY CAT This is my cat called Scarlet. She has a strange character, but I love her.

4. MY FAVOURITE SUBJECT And yet, among all the subjects I study at school my favourite one is drawing. When I was in 6th grade I enrolled for a voluntarily chosen course in drawing. My teacher then was Mrs. Borjiana Dimitrova. I set the beginning of my creative achievements with her help. I won a lot of national competitions and scholarships in the past two years. I would like to tell you more about some of them now:

5. “ KAZAKOV “ GALLERY This was a charitable exhibition of drawings made by students of our school. The event took place in “ The Kazakov “ Gallery in Tryavna. Then three of my drawings were sold out.

6. This was an exhibition of drawings exhibited in the Ministry of Education. The drawings were made by students trained at “ Slaveikov school. At this event I personally met the Minister of Education and Science Mr. Daniel Valchev. MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND SCIENCE

7. CAROL - SINGER This was a carol-singer doll which ranked me second and I also got a scholarship after taking part in The National Competition for Applied Arts “ From Christmas to Vasiljov’s day ”.

8. A RED - ICON Because of my interest in icon- painting I took part in the youth television programme “ 13+ “ broadcasted on Bulgarian National Television.

9. A BLUE - ICON I won a scholarship given by The “ Komunitas “ Foundation on the project “ 1000 Scholarships” for the period 2007 / 2008. Now I’m applying for a scholarship on the project “ 1000 Scholarships “ for the period 2008 / 2009.

10. Crystal fantasies In my leisure time I like drawing on a glass, because in that way I can express my fantasies.
