Summary Report Project Name: Interface Library Project (Watson) Brief Project Description: –The Interface Library Project will establish a library, and appropriate services, of reusable, open source interfaces developed as part of various Health Information Exchange projects. Watson will identify early adopters and develop model contract language that will urge vendors responding to RFPs to participate in the ILP. In later stages, services will be provided to assist purchasers in identifying available resources in the ILP and to coordinate with vendors that can provide customization services. Major milestones to date –Establishment of Executive Steering Committee –Interest or commitments from over 12 states –Confirmed ONC public support –Repository prototype launched, includes submission function –Simplified RFP contract “Goals and Principles” document –Submitted grant application for RTI funding Projected milestones –Further development on repository functionality –Identification and outreach to potential vendors (Interoperability Consortium)
