A few facts and figures Founded in 2003 in Lausanne… Flavie has 500 members: people with burns, professionals in burn-related fields, friends and volonteers, out of a total population of 2,000,000 0.3% full time employees, committee members’ expenses paid Yearly operating budget of 30,000 € – Donations and membership fees are sole sources of funding

We receive little feedback on the activities we initiate and few requests for help. – Should we be using our energy for something other than support to burn victims? – Should we continue but in a different way ? Funding for medium-size projects is «easy» to find, but we get no state support toward Flavie’s operating costs. – How can our association achieve long-term financial sustainability?  What ideas or «best practices» could you suggest ?
