Janos Sztipanovits 4 Terms of Reference  ARO has requested a workshop to determine the most challenging software reliability issues and the best way of mitigating those  A group of people across the country should be assembled for a two-day workshop to discuss the critical issues  The deliverable of the workshop is a set of charts containing:  Topic 1. Emerging software development paradigms that have major improvements on software reliability  Topic 2. Balance between formal and informal methods, engineering and artistry, evolution and rebuilt  Topic 3. The role of open standard, open source development, end user programming and other radically different models  Topic 4: Effects of software certification on the current balance between software/system modeling, analysis and testing  Topic 5: Reliability metrics for real-time, embedded software for FCS.
