From raising large herds of livestock to running large row crop operations to managing several poultry houses, Production Agriculture includes some of the following careers Raising * Field Crops * Poultry * Fruit * Vegetables * Livestock

Agriculture Mechanics – The term agricultural mechanics is the selection, operation, maintenance, servicing, selling, and use of power units, machinery, equipment, structures, and utilities used in agriculture. Involves * Planning & Constructing Buildings * Machinery Maintenance * Welding * Electrical Work & Plumbing

5. Agriculture Sales & Service - Jobs in this field are usually hired services for someone that needs help, medicine needs, equipment, etc or people who have services to offer to the general public such as mechanical, electric, or technical skills. Involves Occupations such as: * Veterinarian * Ag Commissioner * Equipment Dealers * Feed Dealers * Ag Flying

6. Agriculture Processing - Careers in the Agriculture Processing field are usually jobs that are done in a factory or plant setting. These can also be jobs in local grocery stores, meat markets, and wholesale businesses. Involves processing and distributing food * Examples include: Butchers Plant Workers Egg Processing

7. Horticulture – Horticulture is the culture of plants for food, comfort, and beauty. These careers include growing plants, vegetable, fruits, etc for people to enjoy for hobbies, pleasure, eating, and for medical needs along with lots of other purposes. 8. Forestry – the science of developing, caring for, or cultivating forests & the management of growing timber Involves * Producing & Harvesting Timber * Managing Forests * Reforestation

9. Rural Recreation & Natural Resources - Involves careers that work with restoring, renewing, conserving, and promoting awareness of renewable resources such as air, wildlife, soil, and water Examples: - Wildlife Conservationist - Water & Soil analyst - Game Warden - Park Ranger
