1 Update to RMS January 14, 2009

2 MarkeTrak – Release 3 Release 3 was successfully migrated the weekend of December 13 th Stabilization period – Dec 13 th thru Jan 19 th

3  Since the Release 3 migration on December 13, 2008, MarkeTrak has experienced a drastic spike in the number of users concurrently logged into the application. Steps were taken throughout the course of the week to mitigate the problems.  This is a good thing - it is highly recommended that the MarkeTrak tool is used to resolve issues.  privilege issue with the execution of certain reports. This required a restart of the application which took approximately 20 minutes.

4  ERCOT is updating their internal process related to Data Extract Variance LSE issues in January to improve their analysis of requests before they are passed on to the market for approval.  ERCOT will eliminate from LSE Variances the usage/727 Extract specific portions of the required fields (Profile Code, Rep Code, Status) and focus these issues on the Siebel Registration System Rep of Record portion of the Data Extract Variance.

5  ERCOT will use the normal MarkeTrak maintenance window beginning 7:00 PM Friday, January 23, 2009 through 12:00 AM Monday, January 26, 2009 to implement PR-70007_01 - MarkeTrak Enhancements, Release 4.  ACTION REQUIRED: Market Participants who utilize MarkeTrak API will need to update their.wsdl and.xsd files for use after this Retail Release.

7  : ERCOT has made available a computer- based training (CBT) course offering an overview of the MarkeTrak application on the ERCOT Learning Management System (LMS) website.   This class is designed to provide Market Participants a general overview of the basic functionalities of the MarkeTrak application. The Retail MarkeTrak Overview class covers the following topics:   · What is MarkeTrak  · Accessing MarkeTrak  · Navigating MarkeTrak  · Issue Ownership
