2 Essential Learnings 1.We will celebrate and show our personal understanding of the Canadian Identity through a variety of multi-media presentations. 2.We will identify and study the economic, political, social and cultural challenges of our community and link these to the future. 3.We will identify current global events and their impact on Canadian citizenship. 4.We will study the operations and responsibilities of government at the three levels: municipal, provincial and federal.

3 Essential Learnings 5.We will take age appropriate actions that will demonstrate the rights and responsibilities of citizenship at either the local, national and global levels. 6.We will seek to understand how globalization has affected Canada since 1980. 7.We will study the impact of the changing technology and socio-economic conditions on Canada’s prosperity and lifestyles (1920 – 1980)
