Household Hazardous Waste Days June 1 and November 2, 2013 Limits: 100 pounds of dry household hazardous waste materials, 25 fluorescent bulbs, and/or 10 gallons of liquid waste for free. Scale charge for larger quantities. Residents are charged a per pound rate for disposal. Recyclable, Hazardous and Electronic Waste materials must be removed prior to disposal. Recycling Center The SCMUA Solid Waste Facility provides a comprehensive Recycling Center for Sussex County residents & businesses. When in stock, both the finished compost material & woodchip mulch are available to the public for landscaping purposes. The SCMUA offers colorized black & red mulch at a nominal fee.
