Jaguar By: Cate,Catherine,Jerry, and Lane

Facts: Jaguars can swim. Their fur is tan, orange, white or black with spots. It's the third largest cat in the world. They are secretive and are not known to kill humans.

Where does it live? It lives in the Amazon Riverbasin. It lives on the forest floor. It also spends most of it's time on the branches of the understory.

What does it eat? It eats fish,turtles and caimans. They also eat deer,cows and tapirs.

What does the layer look like? The forest floor is often dark and humid due to shade from the canopy's leaves.
