A log line or logline is a brief summary of a television program or film, often providing both a synopsis of the program's plot, and an emotional "hook" to stimulate interest. – Wikipedia It conveys the dramatic story of the show or film in the most abbreviated manner possible.

3 Logline Examples Star Wars When his caretakers are murdered, a young Jedi knight joins the rebel alliance and struggles against the Galactic Empire to destroy the Death Star, their nearly complete super weapon.

4 Independence Day Only two men can save the world when Aliens attack and attempt to loot and destroy Earth on July 4th.

5 Pirates of the Caribbean II A roguish pirate races against Davy Jones and his ship devouring Leviathan to retrieve the Dead Man s Chest.

6 The Wizard of Oz After a twister transports a lonely Kansas farm girl to a magical land, she sets out on a dangerous journey to find a wizard with the power to send her home.

8 Task: You are now to make a list of 5 movies you enjoyed and find their loglines. Also, you are to explain if you think that the logline for each movie is good or not.
