$ 2015-10-28 Testing 1) Hold a degree (or higher) - in any field - from a recognised higher education institution. 2) Be accredited by NAATI at the Professional Translator level in the language and direction relevant to their application. 3) Provide an employer references as proof that they have been practising regularly as a translator for a minimum of two years. Those practitioners who are self-employed will be required to provide a statutory declaration as proof. Advanced Translator Category 1
