CINEMA INDUSTRY Self-Service Ticket Kiosk
2
BRIEF HISTORY Cinépolis, the leader in cinematographic company exhibition in Latin American and top 4 in the world cinema industry. Currently, has 2,371 rooms in 252 Sets, adding an installed capacity near to 450 thousand armchairs. We characterize by innovation and stellar service. We introduced successful concepts like Cinépolis IMAX and Cinépolis 3D and Macro XE. Also we have created services like CineTicket and Cinépolis online.

MAIN OBJECTIVE The commercial objective is to reduce queuing at existing ticket counters by providing an alternative retail outlet, and to achieve a quick and fast transaction timeframe. Some movie theaters are able to eliminate most of their often-unreliable teenage ticket sellers by converting to ticketing kiosks. The Famous Players chain of movie theaters in Canada has retained one human ticket seller and typically installs five self-serve ticketing kiosks at each new mega-theater complex it opens.

ENTERTAINMENT TODAY Today’s on-the-go consumers demand choice and convenience when it comes to getting their entertainment. Time and money is essential for the entertainment business. But… the only ugly little secret surrounding many cinema kiosks is that they often are deployed in order to reduce employee headcount!!!

SELF-SERVICE TICKET KIOSK We can quickly purchase our tickets if we are running a little late and run on ahead so we don’t miss the start of the film! “The average cost to process a boarding pass is $3.68 when an airline employee conducts the transaction. The cost drops to $0.16 when it is done at a kiosk”. Summit Research Associates 2004, Inc,. On-the-go CineTicket
