Headers To insert Headers into your paper locate “View” on the tool bar and click on it, then go down to “Headers and Footers.” To insert Headers into your paper locate “View” on the tool bar and click on it, then go down to “Headers and Footers.”

A box will appear in which to type in your header. A header often gives the name of an assignment and/or the page number.
